To reduce the impact of climate change on climate-sensitive livelihoods in the watershed, NABARD funded ‘Climate Proofing of Chumba Nala Watershed’ in Mandu block of Ramgarh district within objective of:

1. Building climate resilience of communities in the watershed area
2. Improving on all indices of vulnerability for the proposed watershed
3. Improving land use pattern and increasing productivity of land and water resources
4. Working on mainstreaming of communities by creating assets for increasing risk bearing capacity
5. Overall reduction in emission from the watershed area
6. The project is operational with SC & ST communities in 4 villages of Mandu block, Ramgarh district benefiting 376 small and marginal farmers. The duration of the project is 4 years.
